Anuloma Viloma Pranayam is one of the best breathing  exercises which can help you to relax mentally and  simultaneously will work on your heart and clear any blockages. Most of the information shared here is not discussed in any modern book of Pranayama . Anuloma Viloma Pranayam directly works on your Pituitary gland and other vital parts of Brain and improve the functionality.

Anuloma Viloma Pranayama can be done by the people of all ages. The women with pregnancy are advised not to do it and rather prefer meditation / Dhyana.

Pranayama is all about inhaling and exhaling with awareness. One dumps the old bad past through this work and intake fresh energy.

Procedure of Anuloma viloma Pranayama:

 .

First find a place ( preferably a garden or a lake side) or balcony/terrace where you can get fresh air and not any disturbance.

. Sit on a yoga mat/ or bed sheet but sitting restrictions aren't much and one if not in a situation to sit in Padmasana can sit on chair in a regular way.

* Close you right nostril with your right thumb

*Take the breathe from your left nostril and hold it for couple of seconds.

*Remove the right thumb from right nostril ( leave it free).

* Immediately close left nostril  with middle finger and ring finger.

* Exhale the breathe from the left nostril now.

REPEAT ALL ABOVE STEPS AGAIN AND AGAIN FOR 5 MINUTES.............. AS DAYS PASS ONE CAN INCREASE THE DURATION.

Initially, one must do it slowly but can pick up speed once get used to it in few days.

START WITH A PACE OF 2 TIMES I A MINUTE AND CAN INCREASE IT TO 30 TIMES IN A MINUTE GRADUALLY IN ABOUT FEW WEEKS.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ONE MUST BREATHE DEEP  IN THE LUNGS AND NOT IN TO STOMACH BECAUSE IT IS IN LUNGS WHERE MOST ELEMENTS WHICH ABSORB OXYGEN REMAIN.

The above was the famous Yogi Baba Ramdev doing Anuloma Viloma Pranayama.

The another secret which no one explains you (most of the Yoga gurus only learn the procedure but do not care to learn about the scientific concepts behind the Pranayama) is creation of Nitric oxide in the body.

This deep breathing triggers the Lymph, your body's sewage system which will give your cells more efficiency. Pranayama keeps your blood fully oxygenated.

When a Man is unhappy, the Prana in the body gets reduced and that leads to depression which is the actual cause to improper functioning of endocrine system and Brain.  The Pituitary gland when doesnt work with full capacity shows the effect on thyroid system. As your thyroid controls the metabolism of the body, this situation leads to weight loss/unwanted weight gain situation.  In order to have control on your brain and Pituitary gland one must do the Anuloma Viloma Pranayama as it enhances Pituitory gland functioning..................................TRY IT ONCE , YOU WILL SEE A FORCE ACTING ON YOUR FOREHEAD.................

ancient Vedic science says that slow diaphragmic breathing leads to long life..................

..A Tortoise takes 4/5 breathes in one minute and lives around 200 years.

People who do Pranayama regularly will have better sleep, no anxiety, quieter nerves, good BP levels and MOST IMPORTANTLY IT DIRECTLY WORKS ON URIC ACID ACCUMULATION AND PREVENTS JOINT PAINS........

Anuloma Viloma Pranayama for Depression patients

The person in depression cannot meditate as he/she will have fluctuations in the mind. The fluctuations in the mind are controlled by Anuloma Viloma Pranayama.

Anuloma Viloma Pranayama is also called as Chakra balancing Pranayama, Naadi Shodhana Pranayama, Nadi Shuddi pranayama...............  Well ........wont they sound new to us?  Yes., these are ancient Indian techniques to keep the mind free of random thoughts.

There are three main channels for the flow of the nergy in the body...Ida, Pingala and Shusumna. It is important that the flow of energy between the Ida and Pingala channels that run alongside each other and balance the spine. Through the spinal sushumna nadi, the central master channel runs. The Ida and Pingala can each regarded the lunar and solar channels. With the Ida Nadi to cool, feminine, passive, mental energy and the Pingala Nadi responsible for hot, male, active, physical energy. Since the flow is harmonized by these two channels, Prana and Kundalini begin to flow through Shushumna. Current flow through the Shushumna Nadi activates and balances all seven chakras ..

The ultimate benefits of the soul through Anuloma viloma Pranayama:

*Activates the Kundalini through the Shushumna, thus awakening the chakras.

Thus, one gets the complete consciousness through Pranayama.

A research  done at the GovtMedical College of Nagpur (Maharastra state) India, proved that people who practice yoga were found to have higher lung function than athletes. . A study published in the Journal of Clinical Biochemistry mentioned that practicing pranayam on a regular basis is highly effective in improving one's blood glucose levels and cholesterol levels.

  1. The history of yoga is 3,000 year old tradition, yoga is now regarded in the western world as a holistic approach to health and is classified by the National Institutes of Health as a form of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). The word “yogaˮ comes from a Sanskrit root “Yujˮ which means union, or yoke, to join, and to direct and concentrate one’s attention. Regular practice of yoga promotes strength, endurance, flexibility and facilitates characteristics of friendliness, compassion and greater self – control, while cultivating a sense of calmness and well-being. Sustained practices also leads to improve outcomes such as changes in life perspective, self-awareness and improve sense of energy to live life fully and with genuine enjoyment. The practices of yoga produce a physiological state opposite to that of flight-or-fight stress response and with that interruption in the stress response, a sense of balance and union between the mind and body can be achieved
